                 Dental Assistant

Duties and responsibilities: They perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties, and often work chair-side as dentists examine and treat patients. They make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.  

Salary: Dental assistant earn a median hourly wage of $17.83. Hourly wages start form $11.93 and go up to $27.07, and $37,090 per year round.

Education: Have a high school diploma, a minimum of 3,500 hours on approved work experience, Graduated from an accredited dental assisting/ dental hygiene program.

Demand for this profession: 18% (much faster than average)


Reflection: I would not like to be a dental assistant because I do not like going to the dentist. Because when I always go they always cut my lip with the machines. Also, because I would prefer to go into the medical field.
